BATTLE OF THE SEXES
All men are lying cheats and bastards, not my view, but then again, I am a man.
No, this broad and absolutist view of men was uttered by a woman and seconded by at least 4 more.
So what have we done to deserve to be tarred with such horrid and indiscriminate appellation? Well it seems to me that it’s due to the lady in question having been hurt by a man and her friends having had the same experiences.
Now before you start rallying behind your own gender, take a moment to break down what was said, “ALL MEN ARE LYING CHEATS AND BASTARDS”, taking this statement literally it can be applied to the fairer species too.
There is a war, which has been raging from the dawn of time. Ever since Mrs Troglodyte found out that Mr Troglodyte had been eyeballing the nice lady from the cave down the path. Again the reverse is true, Mrs Troglodyte loves to stroke Mr Ug’s Tyrannosaurs when Mr Troglodyte is out hunting for Triceratops.
Women are just more careful about what they do and how they do it. Women tend to plan treachery, they will pick the time and place and, nine times out of ten, you will never know what happened. They will also not let go of one branch until they have a full grip on another one.
Men generally are less calculating and are more opportunistic. Men are less in tune with feelings. This is a fact, and due to this fact we tend to come across as uncaring brutish creatures with only one thing on our minds.
In matters of the heart, because we hurt each other it is very simple to be expansive with the name-calling, but remember it works both ways, women hurt men too.
What is important though is that before your misgivings about the person you are with turns into a blind hatred for the opposite sex, take stock of your relationship, and if it is as bad as you think it is, then leave before you are tarnished beyond repair.
