Man Sentenced To Time Served For Assault In February Incident

48 year old Ian MCINTOSH, of Alameda Estate, appeared at the Magistrates’ Court yesterday morning and was sentenced to time served following his guilty plea to a charge of Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm (ABH).
A statement from the RGP follows below:
The charge related to an incident on the 20th February 2024, when MCINTOSH attended the residence of the victim and following an argument had punched the side of her head, causing severe bruising and leaving her dazed.
On the 21st of February 2024, following an investigation, the defendant was charged with one count of ABH and one count of Cruelty to Animals. Following his initial court appearance, MCINTOSH remanded in custody for a total of 120 days until Tuesday’s court appearance.
His plea of Not Guilty to the separate charge of Animal Cruelty was accepted by the Crown.
