Triple Round The Rock Challenge to Raise Funds For GBC Open Day
23 September 2024

GBC's Stefan Borge and Ian Howes are set to complete 3 laps around the Rock of Gibraltar to raise funds for GBC Open Day.
A statement follows below:
The event will take place on Saturday 5th October, with all proceeds going to support the GBC Open Day fund.
Stefan, who has long aspired to participate in a sporting fundraiser, recently teamed up with Ian a seasoned runner and veteran of numerous charity events. Together, they are set to complete 3 laps around the Rock of Gibraltar.
Each lap covers approximately 9.5 kilometers, with varying speeds to accommodate participants of all levels.
"Basically, I’ve always wanted to challenge myself in a sporting event that would give back to the community. Teaming up with Ian, who seems to have running in his blood, felt like the perfect opportunity. We’re doing this for a great cause, and we’re excited to get as many people involved as possible!" said Stefan.
Event Details:
First Lap: Starting at 7:30 a.m. from Casemates Square at an easy running pace @[email protected]
Second Lap: Departing at 9:00 a.m. at a run/walk pace
Third Lap: Departing at 11:00 a.m. at a walking pace
Ian said ‘ You are welcome to join us for one, two, or all three laps depending on your ability. The event is non-competitive, and we invite everyone to wear their charity T shirt. Hopefully with the generosity of our community we can raise as much money as possible for the charity.
