GibSams Launches Annual Report 2023

GibSams has just launched its first Annual Report for 2023, which covers from the launch of GibSams in 2017 and the work undertaken by the organisation up to 31st December 2023. This includes a message from the charity’s founder and Patron Marielou Guerrero MBE, Chair and CEO.
GibSams was founded on World Mental Health day on 10th October 2017 on the back of numerous suicides. GibSams operates a confidential and anonymous helpline, chat and WhatsApp service for those that are experiencing emotional distress.
65% of the income raised by the charity in 2023 came from donors, corporate sponsors and grant making bodies. GibSams invested 56% of its expenditure in ongoing training and workshop seminars to ensure that volunteers are supported in the work that they do on a voluntary basis.
