SSAFA Gibraltar Reflects On 2025 Impact And Launches Community Focused Campaign

SSAFA Gibraltar is reflecting on its 2025 activity, which saw over £15,000 of support delivered through a direct welfare assistance, community grants, and inclusive activities.
A statement from SSAFA Gibraltar follows below:
SSAFA Gibraltar has begun sharing the impact of its work over the past year, highlighting the vital role the local community plays in supporting serving personnel, veterans and their families on the Rock.
The charity is reflecting on its 2025 activity, which saw over £15,000 of support delivered through a combination of direct welfare assistance, community grants, and inclusive activities designed to bring people together.
SSAFA Gibraltar provides practical, emotional and financial support to members of the Armed Forces community, ensuring help is available whenever it is needed.
Throughout 2025, the team supported individuals and families facing a range of challenges, from financial hardship and relocation pressures to periods of isolation. Alongside this, SSAFA funded community projects and delivered regular activities, including coffee mornings, socials, community events and interest groups, that helped reduce loneliness and strengthen connections across Gibraltar.
Chair of SSAFA Gibraltar, said: "As we’ve taken the time to look back on 2025, what really stands out is the strength of our community.
The support we provide isn’t just about responding in times of need, it’s also about creating spaces where people feel connected, supported, and part of something. That’s what makes a real difference.”
The charity is now sharing its impact through a series of social media posts over the coming weeks, focusing on different aspects of its work, from individual welfare support to community-building activities and fundraising.
With a busy programme planned for 2026, including community events and fundraising initiatives, SSAFA Gibraltar is also encouraging more people to get involved.
“Everything we do is made possible by volunteers and the support of the community,” the Chair added. “As we look ahead to a busy year, we’d really welcome anyone who would like to get involved, whether that’s volunteering, supporting events, or helping us fundraise.”
SSAFA Gibraltar continues to provide confidential support to serving personnel, veterans and their families across the Rock. If you need support, SSAFA is here. If you would like to get involved, the team would love to hear from you.
