Oct 18 - Man On Trial For Attempted Rape

The jury has been empanelled in a Supreme Court trial of a local man accused of attempted rape.
Karim Rudge, 27, faces one count of attempted rape and one count of trespass with intent to commit a sexual offence.
Rudge maintains his innocence in relation to both charges.
Rudge today pleaded guilty to one further count of possession of a bladed article.
The trial has been adjourned until tomorrow morning, when the complainant is expected to give evidence.
