Man Charged Following Mid Harbour Estate Fire

A man will appear before the Magistrates’ Court this morning following yesterday’s fire at the Mid Harbour Estate.
A statement from the RGP follows below:
Juan Francisco Sanchez Valenzuela, 19, a Spanish national who lives in Castellar, was charged with Arson whereby Life Endangered, just before 2am this morning at New Mole House Police Station.
He was arrested by Detectives from the RGP’s Criminal Investigation Department just before 2pm yesterday.
His arrest followed a fire at a flat in Wave Crest House just after 4am yesterday morning, which left five people hospitalised and killed a dog.
Sanchez Valenzuela will appear before the court at 10am.
