Oct 21 - Witham's Road Tobacco Arrests

Shortly before midnight on the 19th of October, officers of the Royal Gibraltar Police arrested two locals and a Spaniard for tobacco offences. The arrests took place in the area of Witham’s Road.
Officers detected large holdalls being placed in a Spanish registered motor vehicle, which when searched, was found to contain the holdalls within which were 30,000 cigarettes.
A 36 year old local man, 33 year old local woman and 37 year old Spanish man were arrested. All have been released on bail and will surrender to bail in late November.
The tobacco has been seized and the motor car in question impounded.
