GSD Congratulates Students On GCSE Results

The GSD has congratulated students receiving their GCSE results.
A statement from the GSD follows below:
The GSD congratulates all students who attained their desired GCSE Results. We take this opportunity to wish all students the very best in their next stage of Education if they are moving towards that. We trust that appropriate career planning advice has been offered by all our secondary schools so that students are better prepared to make important decisions which will lay a path for their future in education or in taking other career paths. For those seeking other training or vocational opportunities or entering the job market we wish them luck and hope they have also had similar support.
Students wishing to continue with Further Education are now required to choose A Level and/or BTEC Level 3 courses, which will lead to further Public Examinations in 2 years’ time, prior to their possible University entry. Choosing the right subjects to be in a good position for a potential career is something which should be well thought out and advice taken from educational professions cannot be underestimated.
Shadow Minister for Education, Edwin Reyes, added:
“I feel proud of the immense resilience and manner by which our students in all schools have managed to attain some excellent academic results. It further shows that teachers have done a fantastic job to ensure our students excel and this has been possible thanks to their exemplary support along their whole education journeys at different Schooling Levels.”
