The Minister for Culture has congratulated Gibraltarian conductor Karel Chichon on his debut at one of the world's most prestigious opera houses, the Metropolitan Opera House in New York, where he is currently conducting Puccini's Madama Butterfly.
Steven Linares said: “I am delighted to hear of Karel’s latest achievement and his continuous success. He is truly an outstanding example of the vast local talent we have in our little Gibraltar. A great Gibraltarian export and ambassador. Well done”.
