Jul 12 - Priscilla Sacramento Weaves Clash Of Cultures In Her New Novel ‘Invisible Threads”

In Priscilla Sacramento’s new novel, “Invisible Threads” (published by AuthorHouse UK), Tito is enjoying this special day: the last day of 1999, the last day of the 20th century. He has a great feeling about the evening’s celebrations and about the new century only hours away. Little does he know that the greatest surprise of the evening will have nothing to do with the special dishes that he and his wife, Pat, are planning to serve, the entertainment they have planned or the gifts they had carefully selected for each guest.

Tito and Pat are mere instruments in a larger, more complex plan not of their making, started long before either of them was born. The evening’s events will shape their lives and the lives of others in the 21st century.

The book spans a century, concentrating on a geographical area – Morocco, southern Spain and Gibraltar – and encompasses cultural differences with tolerance and acceptance. It explores the links between individuals with diverse backgrounds with Tito and Pat, culminating in an unexpected surprise on the eve of the millennium.

Born in Downpatrick, Northern Ireland, Priscilla Sacramento moved to Gibraltar as a young child. She was head teacher at St. Martin’s Special School for more than 20 years and was an education adviser for special educational needs until her retirement.

She is actively involved in Women in Business Gibraltar, serving as their chairwoman for two years. Sacramento is a recipient of the Gibraltar Award.

More information is available at www.invisible-threads.net. The book is on sale at Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
