Feb 12 - 2013 Gibraltar Drama Festival Programme
The Gibraltar Culture and Heritage Agency has today released the 2013 Gibraltar Drama Festival’s programme. The event will run from Tuesday 12th March to Saturday 16th March.
The Festival will begin on Tuesday at 8pm in the Bayside School Drama Studio, with the Bayside & Westside Drama Group’s production, ‘Going Underground’ a drama by Christopher Morgan; and their second production, ‘Flavius’ a drama by Julian Felice.
Wednesday 13th will see Santos Productions Juniors present ‘Live: It’s Fairy Tale News’ by J.M. Wolf and Group 2000 present ‘Zoo Story’ a drama by Edward Albee and ‘Dear Diva’, a comedy by Jan Harris, at the Ince’s Hall Theatre
On Thursday at 8pm at Ince’s Hall, Rock Theatre Group will present ‘Macbeth: To Kill A King’ a drama by William Shakespeare and Santos Productions will present, ‘Too Fast’ a comedy drama by Douglas Maxwell and The C Word’ by Christian Santos.
Friday 15th March will see, Santos Productions Juniors present ‘The Lion and The Mouse’ by Julie Meighan, the Trafalgar Theatre Group present ‘The Diary of Adam and Eve’ a comedy drama by Mark Bucci and Stage One present ‘Stay Behind Cave’, a drama by James Neish. All productions will be carried out at Ince’s Hall.
The Gala night will be held on Saturday 16th March at 8pm, at the Ince’s Hall theatre. The evening will see the final presentation of three plays selected by the Adjudicator, Mr Stephen Oliver, to provide a balanced evening’s entertainment, followed by the awards ceremony by the Minister for Culture, the Hon Steven Linares.
Tickets for the festival will be on sale as from Monday 25th February and can be purchased during weekdays at the John Mackintosh Hall between 10am and 7pm.
During performance days, tickets will be on sale at the venue between 6.30pm and 8pm.
