Jan 21 - Ministry for Culture Calls for Potential Miss Gibraltar Candidates
As another Pageant rolls around once more, the Ministry for Culture is looking for young ladies who wish to participate as participants in the Miss Gibraltar 2014 pageant. Candidates must be aged between 17 (as at 6th June 2014) and not more than 24 years old (as at 31st December 2014). The first 10 candidates to sign up for the Pageant will each receive £400. The winner of the Pageant will represent Gibraltar at the Miss World Pageant, to be held in London, in November 2014.
Recruitment will commence on Monday 27th January 2014. Entry forms are available from the Gibraltar Culture and Heritage Agency at 310 Main Street. Prizes for the winners of the pageant include £2000 cash and £3500 clothing allowance for the young lady crowned Miss Gibraltar 2014. Miss Gibraltar also participates in the Miss World Pageant and is awarded a trophy.
The 1st Princess is awarded £1000 and a £500 clothing allowance as well as participation at Miss International 2014 and a trophy. The 2nd Princess receives £500 cash and a £500 clothing allowance and a trophy. The closing date for entries is noon on Friday 7th February 2014.
