newsAt the Gala Night of the Gibraltar Drama Festival held at the Ince’s Hall Theatre on Saturday 22nd March 2014, the Adjudicator, Arthur Rochester GODA, reached the following decision on the Awards:

1-ADJUDICATOR’S SPECIAL AWARD went to Trafalgar Theatre Groups for the excellent ensemble in the play “Pool (no water)”

2-BEST STAGE DESIGN was awarded to Rock Theatre for their play ‘Julius and Cleopatra’.

3-BEST TECHNICAL PRODUCTION was awarded to Medway Little Theatre Youth Company for their production ‘The Fag House’.

4-BEST DIRECTOR was awarded to Angela Jenkins for her play ‘Julius and Cleopatra’ presented by Rock Theatre.

5-BEST SUPPORTING PLAYER went to Matthew Gill for his several roles in the play ‘How to be a Saint’ presented by Fresh Wineskins Theatre Company.

6-BEST YOUTH PLAYER went to Alicia Quiros for her role as Anna in ‘My Women’ presented by Santos Productions.

7-BEST ACTRESS went to Amee Freyone for her role as Natalie in ‘My Women’ presented by Santos Productions.

8-BEST ACTOR went to Christian Santos for his role as Shane in ‘My Women’ presented by Santos Productions.

9-BEST ORIGINAL PLAY went to Nick Fromings for his play ‘How to be a Saint’ presented by Fresh Wineskins Theatre Company.

10-FESTIVAL WINNER for the best play was awarded to ‘How to be a Saint’ presented by Fresh Wineskins Theatre Company.

The presentation of awards was carried out by the Minister for Culture, the Hon Steven Linares.
