Aug 01 - YGTV Reaches 100,000 Page Views Milestone
YGTV, Gibraltar’s ever-popular news website, has reached an important milestone during the month of July. It is the first month that the site has registered over 100,000 page views making this yet another record-breaking 31 days for the news provider.
Among the stories that have helped the team achieve these impressive results was a report from the 23rd July on the arrest of a local man for posting on a Facebook forum material where religious hatred is likely to be stirred. This story alone attracted over 10,300 hits.
Another popular story last month was the summary report on the sentencing of the Marrache brothers. YGTV managed to post this story just 20 minutes after the judge’s announcement and it was accessed over 4,000 times.
YGTV’s Editor, Giordano Durante, said: “It’s been a very good month for news and our stats reflect that. What we’re also seeing is greater engagement from the public as more and more people start using YGTV as their first port of call for up to date local news. This is a very encouraging milestone for us and we hope to improve on these results in the coming months.”
