Oct 26 - GSD Calls On GONHS To State Position On Lathbury Stadium

The GSD says that GBC News, last Friday, reported that GONHS had said that its remit is nature conservation and consequently it prefers a new power station to be located at the North Mole instead of Lathbury.

In the interests of clarity, the GSD now says it calls on GOHNS to express a view as to whether, on nature conservation grounds, it is in favour of a Football Stadium at Lathbury or whether it prefers the plans for an upgrade to Victoria Stadium.

The party reminds the public that when Dr Cortes led GOHNS it was against development at Lathbury because of the effect on the population of Barbary Partridges, amongst other reasons. The GSD says it presumes that continues to be the group’s position.
