Feb 09 - Commodore Bob Sanguinetti Joins International Bunker Industry Association Board
CEO and Captain of the Port, Commodore Bob Sanguinetti, has been elected to the board of the International Bunker Industry Association. This was announced at their gala dinner in London on Monday.
A Gibraltar delegation, comprising some twenty members from the port community, is in London to attend International Petroleum (IP) Week.
Minister for Shipping Albert Isola attended the dinner as a VIP guest, and said this was fantastic news for Commodore Sanguinetti, the port, and for Gibraltar, as this places Gibraltar at the forefront of developments in the bunkering industry. He added that it reflects the port's status as the region's principal bunker hub, and its strong reputation across the global shipping community.
Commodore Sanguinetti said: "This annual, high profile event attracts the senior figures from the oil and gas industry, providing an ideal opportunity for us to market the full range of services we provide at Gibraltar, and to discuss how we can best support the international shipping community."
