Mar 29 – Opposition Congratulates Government On Smoking Ban In Cars With Kids
29 March 2016
The GSD has congratulated the Government for implementing new legislation banning smoking in cars carrying children. The party says that this legislation “is an important step forward where the protection of children's health is concerned and one that the GSD had outlined as a commitment in its 2015 manifesto.” The party says that only last year, the same ban was introduced in the United Kingdom.
Shadow Health Minister Marlene Hassan Nahon said: "We commend government in having taken this step, and look forward to seeing this vital new piece of legislation being implemented and enforced around our roads as soon as possible."
