Dec 20 - Unite Urges Government To Give Agency Workers Permanent Contracts
20 December 2018
Unite the Union says that one of the recruitment agency companies which has been resourcing public sector functions for a number of years has ceased operating.
Unite has urged the Government that any affected agency worker who has been providing a service to the public sector under this agency be given a permanent contract under an in-house option, to be able to continue providing the services they were individually providing under the said agency.
A spokesperson said: “Unite the Union under its continued campaign against precarious employment, advocates that all agency workers either in the private or public sector be given the terms, conditions and security that their permanent colleagues enjoy.”
