UK and Gibraltar Ministers Meet to Discuss EU-UK Treaty Work and Contingency Planning

The Deputy Chief Minister Dr Joseph Garcia had a virtual meeting today with Stephen Doughty MP, Minister of State (Europe, North America and Overseas Territories) at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office.
The two Ministers have met on several occasions over the past few years in different capacities and already know each other well, and last month Mr Doughty was in Gibraltar for National Day.
The Deputy Chief Minister said: “It was a pleasure to reconnect with Minister Doughty today in order to co-chair the NNO Board. This is the forum for close and seamless cooperation between our two Governments on contingency preparations for a no negotiated outcome (NNO). While the UK and Gibraltar are committed to reaching a EU-UK treaty, and continue to work towards that aim, we are also working together to review contingency planning."
