Oct 11 - ESG Briefs Sir Graham Watson On Western Beach Contamination
The Environmental Safety Group today met with MEP Sir Graham Watson to brief him on the worsening situation of sewage contamination at Western Beach, as well as on the broader issues of environmental degradation in the Bay contained in their recently published paper.
A folder with the latest articles and data was submitted to the MEP. Sir Graham was brought up to speed with the concerns of the ESG on a number of environmental threats in the region which, the ESG say, have been “marginalized” during the political tensions. The ESG, together with their legal adviser, David Dumas QC, discussed a number of possible ways forward with Sir Graham Watson, which will not be made public yet but will be announced soon. The group says it looks forward to working with Sir Graham on these issues once he is back in Brussels.
