Apr 06 - Historical Anchors Restored
06 April 2016
In collaboration with the Ministry of Heritage, volunteer Bart Van Thienen is undertaking maintenance work on the two historical anchors at Waterport Road and Rosia Plaza.
Rust has been removed and the cleaned areas have been treated with red oxide and finally painted in their respective colours.
Mr Van Thienen says that some minor finishing touches will be applied in the next few days so everything will be ready in time for the new tourist season. He adds that experience shows that this maintenance is needed every two years.
