Aug 05 - Western Beach To Reopen Following Removal Of Algae

The Department for the Environment is pleased to announce that works to remove algae from Western Beach will conclude late this afternoon (Friday) and the beach will be open to the public from tomorrow morning in time for the weekend.
So far seven truckloads of algae have been removed, and another three or four loads that are still awaiting collection will be removed this afternoon.
