The Mayor, Kaiane Aldorino Lopez gave out seven Mayor’s Awards at a ceremony held at the City Hall earlier today.

The Mayor’s Awards committee recently considered a number of nominations for both the lifesaving and community award categories.

The recipients are as follows:

Mayor’s Silver Award – LCpl Conroy

In recognition of his actions whilst deployed in Bahrain.

Mayor’s Silver Award – Ms Krisanne Lia

In recognition of her actions where she rendered first aid assistance.

Community Award – Mr John Diaz

In recognition of his voluntary work for the Prostate Cancer Support Group Gibraltar

Community Award – Mr Joseph Palmero

In recognition of his charity work and contributions to Gibraltar and its Citizens.

Community Award – Mr Kishin Alwani

In recognition of the support given to the community through the Alwani Trust and Foundation.

Community Award – Ms Emily Adamberry Olivero MBE

In recognition of her voluntary work for Clubhouse Gibraltar.

Community Award – Gibraltar Disability Society

In recognition of their work in promoting the interests of disabled persons.
