May 03 - Notre Dame Students In Video Call With Lewis Pugh
Year 3 students at Notre Dame School have been learning about the environment, the global problems we are facing and ways in which they can make a difference.
As part of their learning, they had a video call with world famous ocean advocate (UN Patron of the Oceans) and inspirational speaker, Mr Lewis Pugh.
Lewis is the only person to have completed a long distance swim in every ocean in the world and has witnessed first-hand the effects of plastic pollution and climate change.
His knowledge and expertise proved invaluable to the students and teachers at Notre Dame.
Lewis spoke about some of his experiences and children were then invited to ask him questions relating to the topic. The video call was thought-provoking, motivational and inspirational.
