Minister for Housing Visits Varyl Begg Estate

Yesterday, the Minister with responsibility for Housing, Pat Orfila, accompanied by the Head of the Housing Works Agency and the acting Housing Manager visited Varyl Begg Estate to oversee the refurbishment works that are currently being undertaken.
During their visit they met up with tenants who expressed their views on the current refurbishment programme and were invited to view the internal communal patios.
The Minister says she was very impressed and applauds the initiative of the tenants to enhance the communal areas.
Minister Orfila said: ‘I’m happy to say that all is going to plan. Two of the blocks could be ready for Christmas and I look forward to seeing the final results of the refurbishment.’
