Spring Cultural Programme 2025

Gibraltar Cultural Services have announced their Spring Cultural Programme.
A statement from GCS follows below:
Gibraltar Cultural Services, on behalf of the Ministry of Culture, is pleased to announce its Spring Cultural Programme, which covers the period up until Friday 20th June 2025.
Following successful events in April which included ‘An Audience With’ David Walliams, Candlelight Concert: Queen on Strings, and the Workers Memorial Day ceremony, GCS confirms the following events:
• VE Day and Heritage Week from Thursday 8th to Sunday 11th May 2025. • A visit from the Young Shakespeare Company with daily performances of ‘Twelfth Night’ at the John Mackintosh Hall Theatre for local schools from Monday 12th to Friday 16th May.
• Spring Visual Arts Exhibition at Gustavo Bacarisas Gallery, Casemates from Wednesday 21st to Saturday 31st May.
• Spring Book Crossing outside the Cathedral of Saint Mary the Crowned on Saturday 7th June.
• 10th Anniversary of the Mario Finlayson National Gallery at the City Hall on 3rd June.
• The Celebration of Opera at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity on Tuesday 10th June.
• Spring Short Story Competition with the prize-giving presentation at BookGEM on Wednesday 25th June.
• Calentita Food Festival at John Mackintosh Square and Campion Park on Friday 20th June.
Events organised by other Organisations include:
• The Gibraltar Heritage Trust 35th Annual Painting Competition on Saturday 10th May.
• The Gibraltar National Museum Open Day on Saturday 17th May.
Minister for Equality, Employment, Culture and Tourism, the Hon Christian Santos GMD MP, said: “The line up of cultural activities in Gibraltar keeps growing from strength to strength, for the benefit of locals and visitors alike. My thanks to Gibraltar Cultural Services and other participating organisations for producing a myriad of events designed to appeal to all tastes and audiences”.
