Minister Orfila Visits Estates Undergoing Refurbishments

Minister Orfila paid an impromptu visit to some of the estates which are currently undergoing the refurbishment process and spoke to some of the tenants who she came across.
The works have been completed to a high quality and, at Varyl Begg, have proceeded to the 3rd and 4th Block. The colour scheme has added a very much needed vibrancy to the estate which has been welcomed by the whole community.
The external renovation does not only enhance the aesthetics of the buildings but also improves their environmental performance through the addition of insulation and double-glazed windows.
Works at Knights Court are well advanced, the quality of the finish greatly improving its appearance. St John’s Court and other buildings in the Upper Town are also undergoing a similar refurbishment and updates will be provided in due course.
Minister Orfila said: “I’d like to thank all residents of these estates for their patience and understanding whilst we complete these necessary works to deliver a much- needed facelift and also extend the lifetime of these flats. I’d also like to thank everyone who continues to work hard on these projects so that residents can continue to enjoy these properties for years to come.”
