Volunteers Wanted for the Gibraltar National Archives

The Gibraltar National Archives are looking for volunteers to help preserve and celebrate our rich local history.

The positions would particularly suit retired individuals, and are a great way to stay intellectually engaged, meet like-minded individuals and play a vital role in safeguarding materials that tell the story of our community.

The Archives are looking for people who:

  • Have an interest or background in history, genealogy, library science, education, museum work or related fields
  • Value the stories and legacy of our community
  • Enjoy learning and contributing in a meaningful way
  • Want to connect with others who share similar passions

Archivist Gerry Wood said: ‘Whether you have worked in a related field or are simply an enthusiast with time to give, we welcome your interest. Please consider volunteering at the Archives so that together we can ensure that the history of our community is preserved and appreciated for generations to come!’
