Man Jailed for Six Months

A local man who used a stolen motorcycle to break into a take-away and steal its cash register has been sentenced to six months in prison and fined £620 today.
Kaylan Torres, 20, of Glacis Estate, was sentenced at the Magistrates’ Court following an investigation by detectives from the RGP’s Crime Division.
Torres pleaded guilty to four burglaries in total, at Los Olivillos, Sea Wave Bar, Los Lomitos and Cluckers Take Away.
He also pleaded guilty to two counts of Possession of Cannabis, Aggravated Vehicle Taking, No Insurance and no MVT.
All of the offences were committed over two days – the 29 and 30th of April 2025.
