Gibraltar Disability Society Calls On Family Members To Attend Meeting With Minister Arias-Vasquez

The Gibraltar Disability Society says Minister Arias-Vasquez will be holding a meeting at John Mac Hall on Thursday 14th August at 10am regarding "the moving of residents of the Dr Giraldi Home and some of the community flats to Tangier Views".
A statement from the Gibraltar Disability Society follows below:
Minister Arias-Vasquez, at the request of parents, will be holding a meeting at John Mac Hall on Thursday 14th August at 10am.
This is to discuss the moving of residents of the Dr Giraldi Home and some of the community flats to Tangier Views.
The Society is concerned that very few people have been informed of this upcoming meeting.
There is great unease that what is being planned will have an adverse effect on present and future service users.
The Disability Society therefore calls upon all those whose family members are, or potentially will become, residents of the disability service to attend.
It is up to us all to speak for those who cannot speak for themselves and ensure any future plans are progressive and not regressive.
