3rd Europa Scout Group Returns From Dolomites Adventure
18 August 2025

Scouts and Explorer sections from the 3rd Europa Scout Group’s 2025 programme recently returned from Dolomites Mountain Range in Italy.
A statement from the 3rd Europa Scout Group follows below:
As part of the 3rd Europa Scout Group’s action-packed 2025 programme, our Scouts and Explorer sections recently returned from an exciting, adventure-filled residential to the breathtaking Dolomites Mountain Range in Italy.
This was far more than just a holiday, it was an experience that fostered personal growth in line with Scouting values, while also offering a glimpse into the cultural differences between Gibraltar and Northern Italy.
During the trip, our young people took part in trekking through Val di Rabbi, kayaking in the Rio Novella canyon, white water rafting on the Noce River, high ropes, archery, and mountain biking. From crossing a 100-metre rope suspension bridge to navigating roaring rapids, they embraced challenges that built confidence, teamwork, and independence whilst creating memories that will stay with them for a lifetime.
We extend a heartfelt thank you to The Luce Foundation, Generous Hearts, and Turicum Private Bank for their generous donations, ensuring every Scout could take part regardless of personal means. Our gratitude also goes to the families, friends, and wider community who supported our fundraising events. These efforts not only made the trip possible but also gave our young people an appreciation of the value of hard work and teamwork in achieving big goals.
The leaders of 3rd Europa Scout Group are already planning our next adventure abroad!
