Elm Valley Scooter Club To Raise Money For Bosom Buddies

The Bosom Buddies Cancer Trust has been chosen as the Gibraltar Charity for the ELM VALLEY SCOOTER CLUB’s adventure from UK to Gibraltar. They came up with the idea that a long distance international run would be a marvellous adventure for their members while also raising funds for two charities in UK, and one in Gibraltar.
A statement continued: “The run will be from South Elmsall at Pontefract in Yorkshire UK, to Gibraltar. They will be arriving on the Rock, via the frontier, at around 12.30 pm on Tuesday 9th September. They shall be riding to Casemates for a “Live” interview with Jonathan Scott in GBC’s “Gibraltar Today.” Then they will ride all the way to Queensway Quay, escorted by the charity’s vice chairperson Brenda Guilliano, and other members of the charity.
“All committee members from the Bosom Buddies charity will await the arrival of the group of scooters, with an array of flags flying to welcome them and to show their appreciation for raising funds for The Bosom Buddies Cancer Trust.
“The rest of the afternoon will be spent celebrating at The Lounge in Queensway Quay, with food and drinks for the team organized by the Charity. The Scooters will then present a cheque to the Chairperson of The Bosom Buddies Cancer Trust, Sonia Golt BEM, and to some of their members.
“The actual run from Yorkshire to the Rock, will be approximately 1649 miles, done over a few days, with arrival at Gibraltar on the 9th September, ready to achieve their goal, and not only celebrate their own success, but also to participate in Gibraltar’s National Day on the 10th. Of September, the day after their arrival.”
