Weather Advisory For Heavy Rain

The Government have issued a Weather Advisory for Heavy Rain from Sunday night through to Tuesday.
A statement from the Government follows below:
From Sunday night through to Tuesday there is a spell of unsettled weather, associated with Ex-Hurricane Gabrielle which makes its way east from the Atlantic into the western and southern parts of Iberia.
This is likely to be the first significant rainfall of the season, though currently there is uncertainty with the positioning of the low pressure, which will impact the amount and the timing of the heaviest rainfall expected.
This weather advisory is issued when there is a risk of rainfall totals of 25mm or more in a 6 hour period, but less than 50mm. This could lead to difficult travel conditions with standing water on roads and cause localised flooding in prone areas.
