Visit To Gibraltar By “Ciudades Que Caminan”

Minister John Cortes, will this Saturday welcome a delegation from Ciudades que Caminan during their visit to Gibraltar.
A statement from the Government follows below:
The Minister for the Environment, Sustainability, Climate Change and Heritage, the Hon Prof John Cortes, will this Saturday welcome a delegation from Ciudades que Caminan (“Cities that Walk”) during their visit to Gibraltar.
The group, which promotes sustainable urban mobility and the development of walkable cities, will include approximately 70 participants, among them the Mayor of La Línea de la Concepción.
The visit will begin with a walk from the Frontier to various parts of Gibraltar, accompanied by Minister Cortes and the Mayor of La Línea Juan Franco.
Minister Cortes will also attend the Ciudades que Caminan sessions in La Linea at 9:00am and 9:00pm on Thursday 16th October as part of the wider programme of events.
Ciudades que Caminan is a network of municipalities and organisations that work to promote walking as a primary mode of urban transport and to improve the quality of public spaces for pedestrians. More information on their work can be found at https://ciudadesquecaminan.org/.
