Ongoing Adverse Weather "Impacting our Mental Well-being"

The storms and strong winds are preventing some people from leaving their homes, especially the elderly or those with disabilities. The Director of Public Health has been in contact with the CEO of the Care Agency and met earlier with GibSams, Childline and Club House to discuss the calls that they have been receiving.
A statement continued: "We know that this weather is causing social isolation, loneliness and anxiety for some of our population. The unusual duration and number of storms we are experiencing is affecting many of us in terms of our overall mental wellbeing.
"We would like to remind everyone that if you are feeling low, anxious or socially isolated then there is help and support available for you including:

Director of Public Health, Dr Helen Carter, said: ‘We recognise that the continuing poor weather is affecting many of us. If you are struggling and need help we would like to remind you that support is there for you.’
