Royal Gibraltar Regiment Deploys To UK For Exercise Jebel Tarik 26

The Royal Gibraltar Regiment has begun its annual firing camp, Exercise JEBEL TARIK 26, marking a key component of its overseas collective training programme.
A statement from British Forces Gibraltar follows below:
Headquarters (HQ) and B Company departed Gibraltar on Sunday 15 January to undertake the exercise, which is being held at the Hythe and Lydd Ranges in the United Kingdom.
Personnel are participating in intensive training, including live firing marksmanship and a series of tactical exercises designed to test and enhance operational capability.
Exercise JEBEL TARIK 26 provides an invaluable opportunity for our soldiers to refine their skills, assess their readiness, and strengthen unit cohesion in a realistic training environment. As part of the Regiment’s mandated annual training cycle, the exercise ensures that personnel remain competent and current in both live firing and tactical operations - critical requirements for maintaining operational readiness in defence of Gibraltar and in support of wider defence commitments.
This deployment underscores the Royal Gibraltar Regiment’s dedication to readiness, professionalism, and excellence. The experience gained during the firing camp will further enhance the Regiment’s effectiveness and ability to meet future challenges.
The Royal Gibraltar Regiment remains steadfast in its commitment to the community of Gibraltar and to upholding its long-standing traditions of service.
