Mrs Gibraltar 2026 - Contestant No 2: Lamyae Wahnon

Why have you decided to sign up for Mrs Gibraltar?
I have a deep love for Gibraltar and truly believe I would be a strong ambassador for it. My cultural background reflects the diversity and tolerance that make Gibraltar so unique.
Becoming Mrs Gibraltar would give me the opportunity not only to represent my home, but also to showcase its rich cultural diversity and the wonderful society we are fortunate to be part of, one where people of all religions live together in peace and harmony.
One of my long standing dreams is to be actively involved in a charity that creates meaningful change for those who need it most and winning Mrs Gibraltar would help me achieve this goal.
Describe yourself in a few words
I’m grounded, genuine, and empathetic, with a creative, fun-loving, and easygoing nature. I have a big heart and am always eager to support and uplift others. I’m open to new experiences, especially when it comes to hobbies. My passion for fashion led me into modelling in my younger years, and later inspired me to qualify as a personal shopper.
Hobbies & Interests
I’ve always had a passion for modelling, both on the catwalk and in photoshoots. It’s something I started at a very young age and still enjoy today, now mainly in support of charity work.
Fashion is another love of mine, I occasionally design my own pieces and enjoy helping close friends with their shopping and styling.
I also took up horse riding a few years ago. While I don’t get to do it as often as I’d like, it remains a hobby I truly enjoy.
Writing is another outlet for me. I turn to it when I want to unwind, and over time I’ve created quite a collection of pieces, ones I hope to one day bring together into a novel.
Family
My mum and my daughter are my closest friends. Although my mum lives in Morocco, we speak on the phone almost every day, and my daughter is always there for me no matter what. My husband is my rock, the one who keeps everything steady, always finding solutions and supporting us through any family challenges.
I was raised in a close knit family where everyone looked out for one another, and those same values of love, support, and togetherness are the foundation I’ve built my own family on.
What does being part of Mrs Gibraltar mean to you?
A wonderful opportunity to grow, build new friendships, learn, and express genuine values. A platform to share my message and make a meaningful contribution to society. A chance to showcase Gibraltar, its diversity and the tolerance of its people, and to create a positive impact through charitable work.
What are your goals and ambitions?
To continue growing as a person, strengthening my values and passing them on to my children. To expand and diversify my charitable work, focusing on supporting those most in need, especially children in developing countries, where help is truly essential.
Fun fact
I have a twin sister, and people mix us up all the time, though I’d say the confusion ends the moment we hit the dance floor, because I’m definitely the better dancer.
