Minister Feetham Visits El Salvador

Minister for Justice, Trade and Industry, Nigel Feetham, has this week been in El Salvador attending an international digital asset conference hosted by the Government of El Salvador.
During his visit, the Minister met with the Comisión Nacional de Activos Digitales (CNAD), the national authority responsible for regulating digital assets. He held discussions with Juan Carlos Reyes, President of the CNAD, along with senior officials from the agency.
Minister Feetham also met with regulators, Government ministers and officials and during his visit discussed opportunities for mutual growth, cooperation and collaboration.
In addition, the Minister was featured in a lead article in a leading national newspaper, Diario El Salvador, providing valuable international exposure for Gibraltar across both its print and digital platforms.
The visit provided an opportunity to exchange views and discuss areas of shared interest, particularly in relation to the development, innovation and regulation of digital asset ecosystems.
Minister Feetham said: “El Salvador has made remarkable progress in the digital asset sector. Prior to the election of President Nayib Bukele, there was little to no ecosystem to speak of. Today, the country is home to a number of leading international companies operating in this space. The visit provided valuable insights and allowed us to extend our network in a number of important areas.”
