SSAFA Gibraltar To Host Charity Concert At St Michael’s Cave
04 June 2026

SSAFA Gibraltar are inviting the community to attend a charity concert offered by Commander British Forces Gibraltar at St Michael's Cave on 12th June as part of their Armed Forces Month activities.
A statement from SSAFA Gibraltar follows below:
SSAFA Gibraltar is inviting the community to come together for a special charity concert offered by Commander British Forces Gibraltar, taking place at St Michael’s Cave on Friday, 12 June 2026 at 8 pm.
The concert will bring together an outstanding line-up of military and community music, featuring The Crossed Swords Pipes & Drums, The Royal Gibraltar Regiment Band & Corps of Drums, and the Gibraltar Military Wives Choir.
Set in one of Gibraltar’s most iconic venues, the evening promises to be a powerful celebration of music, service, tradition and community. It comes at a particularly poignant time, as June sees a busy programme of activities connected to the Armed Forces community, including regular SSAFA coffee mornings, concerts, flag days, and special celebrations leading up to Armed Forces Week and Armed Forces Day at the end of June.
The Crossed Swords Pipes & Drums is a British military-led international pipe band with a reputation for stirring performances that bring Celtic culture and military musical heritage to life. They will perform alongside the much-loved Royal Gibraltar Regiment Band & Corps of Drums and the Gibraltar Military Wives Choir, creating a unique evening of pipes, drums, voices and ceremony.
Funds raised from the concert will support SSAFA Gibraltar’s work with the local Armed Forces community, including serving personnel and families posted to Gibraltar, members of the Royal Gibraltar Regiment and their families, and those who need practical, emotional or financial support.
Funds from the event will also be going to Clubhouse Gibraltar and PossAbilities
Alan Jones, Chair of SSAFA Gibraltar, said: “This concert is a wonderful opportunity to bring the community together in support of our Armed Forces family. June is always a meaningful month, with Armed Forces activity, celebrations and fundraising taking place across Gibraltar, and this event gives us a chance to recognise service, strengthen connection and raise vital funds for SSAFA’s local work.
We are incredibly grateful to Commander British Forces Gibraltar, The Crossed Swords Pipes & Drums, the Royal Gibraltar Regiment Band & Corps of Drums, and the Gibraltar Military Wives Choir for helping create what promises to be a truly memorable evening.”
SSAFA Gibraltar is part of SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity, and provides local support to the Armed Forces community in Gibraltar. Run by volunteers, the committee offers practical, emotional and financial support, welfare advice, signposting to further help, support with financial grants, and community activities that help reduce social isolation and bring people together.
Tickets for the charity concert are £10 and are available through BuyTickets.gi.
