June 07 - Costa Announces Sandy Bay Shuttle Service
The Government has announced the introduction of a new coach shuttle service for the users of Sandy Bay beach. Throughout the bathing season, the shuttle service will operate between Europa Point and Sandy Bay thus allowing the public to use the Europa Point Car Park when planning to spend the day at Sandy Bay. The service will operate daily from 1100hrs to 1900hrs and will depart every 15mins.
Commenting on the new service, the Neil Costa, Minister for Tourism and Public Transport said, “We are committed to the regeneration of Sandy Bay but we are aware of the difficulties of access and parking there. It therefore gives me great pleasure to provide this complimentary shuttle service to our beach users who have been deprived of one of Gibraltar’s favourite beaches for far too long.”
