Aug 21 - Gibraltarian Cars Targeted in La Linea
Gibraltarian resident of Santa Margarita in La Linea, Allen Bula, yesterday had two tyres of his Gibraltarian registered car slashed as it was parked outside his home.
Speaking to YGTV Mr. Bula noted that he had been at home all afternoon when the incident occurred. At 5:30pm he found that the front and back tyres on the driver’s side of his vehicle had been slashed. He found that two other Gibraltarian registered vehicles in the area had also had their tyres slashed.
As he left for work in Gibraltar this morning, Mr. Bula explained that a further Gibraltarian vehicle in the area had been targeted with slashed tyres and a broken rear windscreen.
Commenting on the on-going dispute, Mr. Bula noted that with reports of other Gibraltarian cars targeted he’s becoming unsure of whether it is safe to park in Spain.
He added, ‘most people from both sides of the border just want to be able to work and live their lives but unfortunately you will get some people who will buy in to the lies that the Spanish media are saying about Gibraltar and take it out on innocent people’s cars in what I believe to be a very cowardly act.’
