This afternoon, the Chief Minister, accompanied by Mrs Picardo, will leave the Rock for Morocco. The Chief Minister will visit the Royal Gibraltar Regiment which is currently on Exercise Jebel Sahara on a training area close to the city of Marrakech.

Whilst in Morocco, the Chief Minister will hold his first meeting with Mr Clive Alderton who has been Her Majesty’s Ambassador to Morocco since December 2012. Mr Picardo will also use the visit to meet several businessmen who are potential investors in Gibraltar. Mr and Mrs Picardo will return to Gibraltar on Friday 8 November.

The Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Joseph Garcia, will act as Chief Minister during Mr Picardo’s visit to Morocco.
