“The importance and significance of International Holocaust Memorial Day in the Human Rights calendar worldwide should not and must not be lost,’ Equality Rights Group has said in a statement on the first Gibraltar commemoration of the memorial day.
“It is for this reason that we have produced a ten minute video which is being made available to the public via Youtube and social media outlets.
“It is also for this same reason that we are happy to waiver all rights to its broadcast and use by any and all; whether individual persons or media outlets.
“The lessons of the 1940s Holocaust must, in our view, always be present in our minds and in our society. Especially as we continue, as a race, to commit the same inhuman mistakes over and over again. Any day’s international news will more than suffice to bring that unpalatable message home,” the statement ended.
