Nov 04 - New Gibraltar Bristol Flights to Commence in April
The UK’s largest airline, easyJet will launch year round flights from Bristol to Gibraltar starting in Summer 2015. The airline, which already flies from London Gatwick to Gibraltar, will launch flights from Bristol on 19 April 2015.
This new service will operate on Tuesdays, Thursday and Sundays, with ticket sales to commence this Thursday. Commenting on the announcement, Tourism Minister Neil Costa noted that not only will this service promote tourism to Gibraltar in the South West, but with Gibraltar forming part of the UK’s South West region with regard to the European Parliament, an even stronger bond will be formed through this direct link.
easyJet’s UK Commercial Manager, Ali Gayward noted that the company was confident that the route will prove a popular service and will support the growth of tourism and business in both Gibraltar and the South West. More than 19,000 seats will be available on the new service, throughout next Summer.
During their time at the Trade Market, the Gibraltar Tourist Board also launched their new logo and brand identity, reflecting Gibraltar’s growing presence in global markets through the economy, strength in financial services, tourism, port and shipping services and e-gaming.
A meeting of the UK Gibraltar Tourism Association will also be help during the board’s time in London this week.
