Feb 09 - St. Joseph's Pilot Parking Scheme Announced
As from Wednesday 11th February the first of a selection of pilot measures proposed in the Sustainable Traffic, Transport and Parking Plan will come into place at the St. Joseph’s School parking area.
The plan determined that parents and carers experience daily traffic problems during drop off and pick up times at St Joseph’s Schools and nursery.
As from 11th February 2015 there will be an area with approximately 30 parking spaces which will be exclusively designated for drop off and pick up of school and nursery children. The scheme will be operational, during the hours of 08:30 to 16:00 from Monday to Friday throughout the school term only.
Commenting on the new scheme, Minister Balban insisted that it gave him great pleasure to launch the first pilot scheme so quickly after the release of the plan.
