Jun 16 – GFA Women Aim To Develop Women’s Football In Local Schools

In a bid to develop women’s football in Gibraltar, the Gibraltar FA Women’s Football Committee has donated equipment to Governor’s Meadow First School.

Governor’s Meadow recently received a donation of football equipment and Gibraltar FA Women’s Football T-shirts for their Year 3 pupils as well as assisting with specific football sessions for all Year 3 Pupils.

This further emphasises the Gibraltar FA’s commitment to developing Women’s Football and to make use of all the funds made available by UEFA’s Hat Trick Programme to enhance the development of the Women’s game in Gibraltar by involving local schools.

The Gibraltar FA’s Head of Women’s Football, Tracey Baglietto, is delighted to be able to promote Women’s Football in Gibraltar’s Schools as it provides the perfect stage to lay the groundwork to ensure Women’s football is a thriving sport in Gibraltar in years to come, when these school children develop into club and potentially international players.
