Aug 10 - Hockey Skills “A Real Hit” In Summer Sports And Leisure Programme
The Hockey Skills and Drill sessions were a real hit with young people taking part on the Summer Sports & Leisure Programme sponsored by NatWest.
Four weeks of skills and drills using the new rebound and crazy rebound boards, magic ropes, hurdles, tunnels and much more have been a great way of introducing children and young people to some of the skills and control required to excel in hockey.
GSLA Sports & Leisure Officers, Jonathan Villa, Jobim Torres and Brian Buckley joined in with this year’s Sports Train to offer their unique skills and drills training for hockey enthusiasts.
The Summer Sports & Leisure Programme ‘Sports Train’ continues for the next two weeks, Monday to Friday offering a variety of sports and leisure activities for young people over the age of 7 years. ‘Children’s Corner’ will also be taking place on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 10am to 12.30pm for 5 & 6 year olds. Sports associations and leisure providers will also be providing a variety of activities up until the end of the summer. Pick up a brochure from Bayside Sports Centre or email [email protected] for further information.
