On Wednesday 28th May the Europa Sports Complex hosted the Ladies National Champion Tournament.  

A statement from the GDA follows below:

The same 8 Ladies who had disputed the League took to the Oche in this  seeded competition. The format was Best of 5 legs for the Quarter & Semi  Finals, and Best of 7 in the Final.  

Quarter-Finals  

Tarika Ward 3 - 1 Joy Ward  

Isabel Walker 3 - 2 Nya Fa  

Bryanna Tosso 3 - 0 Helen Olivero  

Erika Ward 3 - 0 Samantha Shoesmith  

Semi-Finals  

Both Semi-Finals were keenly contested with all players trying their utmost.  Tarika had a tough match against Isabel but was able to clinch victory 3-2.  Erika was able to dominate her match against Bryanna with a 3-0 win.  

Final  

This set us up for a mother / daughter final – Tarika Vs Erika. This saw some  good scoring from both but a few missed doubles from Tarika enabled Erika to  emerge victorious with a 4 – 1 score.
