Feb 21 - RBS to Withdraw Services from Overseas Markets

news The Royal Bank of Scotland is set to pull out of dozens of overseas markets, reports Sky News this afternoon. The report claims that the banking giant is in talks with a number of national banking regulators about pulling out of many of the 38 countries they provide services in. Although the Bank would not respond to Sky News’ questions another source claimed that they would be surprised if the bank retains a presence in more than 15 of the 38 countries.

Feb 21 - Public Encouraged to Submit Mayor’s Award Scheme Recommendations

news As announced last year by His Worship the Mayor, the scope of the Mayor’s Award Scheme has been widened.

The Scheme, which until last year only recognised persons who had saved a life or who had participated in any life-saving rescue operation or act of bravery, now encompasses persons or groups who have served Gibraltar in exceptional or voluntary service over a prolonged period of time.
